The plate was lost during WWII. It is Chamberlain's only recorded night scene. Published in "the Prints of Samuel Chamberlain N.A." by Narcissa Gallatly Chamberlain and Jane Field Kingsland. About 1/2 of the edition had problems due to moulds in the glue used in the chine applique. It is said to be risky to attempt restoration.
