The interior of the bowl painted in polychrome enamels with scenes of domestic life enclosed with gilt fretwork frames, alternated with lushly painted trophies, the rim enameled with polychrome floral sprays and exotic birds enclosed in black scalloped cartouches, the exterior painted with floral sprays. 5 3/4" h., 18 3/4" d.

The cup painted in polychrome enamels with a scene of two courting lovers being discovered in their woodland retreat, enclosed in a gilt and beaded frame on a cobalt ground, flanked by gilt wheat sheaves, the handle with a gilt ram's head and floral terminates, the reserve signed "C. Weh", together with a matching cobalt saucer gilt with stylized foliage, both the cup and saucer marked with underglaze blue Vienna mark and inscribed in black "Austria", the cup inscribed "Rinaldo and Urmida" in black. Cup: 3 1/2" h., Saucer: 1" h., 5 1/4" d.
