Modeled as a mother carrying a babe on her back, with another walking by her side, each attired in a peasant garb, painted in polychrome enamels, and raised on a square grassy base, marked on the interior of the base with underglaze blue berlin mark, and affixed with a paper label reading "Collection de Madame J. Brasseur." 7" h.

The baluster form vase with a ruffled rim, molded with "c" scrolls, flanked by entwined serpent handles, the lower half of the vase enameled in apple green, the rim, serpents, and scrolls picked out in gilt, the base impressed with faint mark. Larger: 7 1/2" h., smaller: 6 3/4" h.
