331. A Very Wonderful Baroque Style Carved Walnut Armchair, Late 19th Century

The arched crestrail centered by a grotesque mask, with scrolled ears, each carved with a roaring lion's head, the upholstered back over downscrolled arms carved with a scale pattern and terminating in a lion's head, on scale carved columnar supports over an upholstered seat, raised on curule form scale carved legs ending in large hairy paw feet.
