The hinged rectangular form applied with a tortoise veneer on top and bottom, banded in brass and applied with a brass shield opening to reveal a blue leather two-pocket interior.

450. A Miniature Fruitwood Bombe Commode

Comprised of harewood and fruitwood veneers, the mottled puce and yellow marble top over two long drawers, raised above a scalloped apron and four bracket feet, the front two feet mounted with gilt bronze sabots, with gilt bronze foliate form mounts; together with a pair of two-arm miniature brass candleabra.

The hinged lid oval form painted in polychrome enamel with a centered floral spray enclosed by scrolls on plaid ground, the bottom enameled in light blue, the lid opening to reveal a mirror.

Comprising; a hinged lid rectangular burl wood box, the lid inset with an ebony and mother-of-pearl elipse, opening to reveal a tortoise-shell veneered interior; together with a hinged-lid horn snuff box, the lid incised with a stylized geometric pattern and monogram, opening to reveal a cork-lined lid.

The cobalt blue egg surmounted with a silver gilt flower centering a cabochon garnet, banded around the middle with similar flowers centering the Romanov double eagle crest, all raised over four silver gilt goat legs.

The cylindrical clear glass form molded with diamond forms, fitted with a silver gilt collar and hinged cap, the lid monogrammed with an "N" encircled by a laurel wreath, hallmarked.
