463. A Shreve and Company Sterling Silver Tea Service, American, circa 1900

Comprising; an oval tray, tea pot, coffee pot, cream jug and open sugar bowl, each engraved with bands of stylized quatrefoils and gracefully twining laurel wreaths on recto and verso with the exception of the tray, the cream jug also incorporating the head of a blackamoor, all stamped "Shreve and Company San Francisco, Sterling". Tray 127.5 ozt., coffee 23.5 ozt., tea 22.8 ozt., sugar 6.0 ozt., cream 5.0 ozt.

Note: the cream jug is unmarked an dates much earlier than the rest of the tea service. The remaining pieces were commissioned by the owner of the jug to create an assembled set.
Tray: 19" x 28 1/4".

464. A Toshikazu Silver Tea Set, Japan

Comprising; a coffee pot, tea pot, cream jug, and covered sugar bowl, each with a stylized scroll edge, floral form handle, raised on outswept scroll feet, stamped "silver 950 Toshikazu"; together with a Poole plated silver double handled tray raised on four legs, stamped.
Coffee 27.5 ozt., tea 27.3 ozt., cream 8.1 ozt., sugar 4.6 ozt.
Coffee: 8 3/4" h., tea: 6 1/2" h.

Comprising; a rectangular tray, tea pot, coffee pot, covered sugar bowl, cream jug, and hairy paw sugar tongs; together with an Ancoma sterling bowl raised over four figural lion legs and an oval Ancoma sterling tray; all stamped Ancoma 925.
Teapot 26.7 ozt., coffee pot 26.4 ozt., cream 8.7 ozt., sugar 14.0 ozt., rectangular tray 33.7 ozt.
Rectangular tray: 11 1/2" x 16", coffee: 9 3/4" h., tea: 9 1/4" h., cream: 5 1/2" h., oval tray: 9 1/2" x 11".

466. A Gorham Sterling Silver and Horn Loving Cup, American, circa 1900

The waisted form cast in high relief with a band of pinecones around the rim, applied with three horn handles, stamped with lion, anchor and G. hallmark, sterling, A3918B, 1 1/4" pints.

467. A Sterling Silver Trophy Cup, American

The double handled cup raised over a pronounced foot, the lip and foot rim molded with a stylized Greek ket motif, engraved "Presented to William Ganson Rose President of the Cleveland Advertising Club 1914-1916...", the bottom stamped sterling 925, (24.2 ozt.).

468. A Three Piece Sterling and Tortoise Shell Dresser Set, Birmingham, England, circa 1917

Comprising a mirror, a rectangular clothes brush, and a hair brush, each with a slightly domed and tortoise shell back inset with sterling wreathes, the sterling bodies hallmarked maker's mark HM, the clothes brush stamped Mappin & Webb.
Hair brush 9 1/4" l., clothes brush 6 1/4" l., mirror 10" l.

469. A Crystal, Sterling and Toroise Shell Powder Jar, Birmingham, England, circa 1924

The lobed crystal jar with a star cut base, surmounted by a tortoise shell lid applied with a centered sterling thistle, and banded by sterling sides, hallmarked Birmingham, makers mark "LTS."

470. A Sterling and Enamel Travelling Clock, American, circa 1910-20

The hinged square lid painted with a single pink enamel rose on a black ground, the sterling back engraved with engine turned banding, the sides with a stylized foliate design, opening to reveal a Stratford wind-up clock movement, the interior of the stamped "Elgin Sterling, Illinois WC Co. 2677663."

The round brown and amber snake skin frame enclosed by two opposing boar tusks, mounted with a centered sterling band, hallmarked Birmingham with makers mark "TL, EM", the reverse backed in snakeskin.
