The plated silver Meriden basket cast with birds and stylized floral handles raised over three bracket feet, stamped meriden, together with an oval molded crystal bowl.

496. A Plated Silver Tea Set, Late 19th Century

Comprising; a coffee pot, tea pot, cream jug, and covered sugar bowl, each with paneled bodies raised over round foot rims, angular handles, each lid surmounted by an oval ebonized wood knop, engraved with a script monogram, each stamped "BSCEP" with figural marks.
Coffee: 9 1/2" h., tea: 8" h.

The hinged lid baluster form heavily molded with roses, dahilias and morning glories, the lid surmounted by a floral finial, the spout molded with stylized scrolls and the ear0form handle inset with two insulators, unmarked. 9 1/2" h.
