571. A Bronze and Onyx Clock Set, France, Late 19th Century

A classical female figure seated on an ornate bench with scroll and scribe in hand with a dore and silvered finish, mounted to a shapely white onyx base centered by a clock, the face with Roman numerals and labeled "Gautier, Rue des pes Mont Martre 3", the works stamped "F. Gautier, A. Paris, 4654", flanked by candleabras of classical form in dore and silvered finishes, raised on onyx bases.

572. A Sevres Style Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Mantle Clock, Paris, Late 19th/ Early 20th Century

The circular enamel dial with arabic numerals signed Caldwell & Company, in a floral cast gilt bronze fitted case mounted in a baluster form porcelain urn issuing leafy tole pointe branches with porcelain flowers, the oval base in bisque porcelain with classical goddesses and winged putti, with gilt bronze relief panels fitted aroung the form decorated with putti at various pursuits, raised on gilt bronze paw feet.

The top centered by an enameled white face with black Roman numerals labeled "El-Bachir Sanhadjiben Ali, a Oudjda" along with Arabic script, framed by a punched brass mount with birds and flowers highlighted in silver and cream, the swag similarly designed.

The elongated and tapering case with hinged door surmounted by a molded top flanked by a cluster of grapes, below a glazed opening revealing an enameled face with Arabic numerals, the lower portion with a semi-oval glazed beveled panel revealing the pendulum, and a cluster of grapes and leaves framing the top. 29 1/2" h., 12 1/2" w., 6 1/2" d.

575. A Seth Thomas Weight Driving Wall Clock, Late 19th Century

The mahogany veneer federal style case with ogee cornice over a paneled glazed door, lower panel reverse painted with a bouquet of roses, the hinged door flanked by faux painted columns terminating with gold caps, the base of ogee design, the interior fitted with weight driving works and a painted face with Roman numerals.

The domed top with a molded band, over a rectangular hinged door with arched glazed panel and flanked by turned half columns, the brass face with engraved foliate design and Arabic numerals, lower portion impressed "Germany", the works marked "Unghans" within a star, "A13", and "Germany" with a wonderful chime.

A silver presentation plaque reading, "Presented to Mr. G. Avis by the workmen under his employ, a mark of his esteem and regard, October 25, 1873", mounted over the painted face with Roman numerals the mahogany case with round top sloping sides and molded base with fruitwood and abalone inlay.
