This print was produced for the book La Feerie et le Royaume by Caille Bourniquel. 205 copies of this book were printed, and included ten lithographs by Chagall which were printed on Arches wove paper of which 180 copies were numbered in Arabic numerals; 10 copies were numbered in Roman numerals and reserved for the author; and 15 copies, not for sale, were reserved for those who had collaborated in its production at the Imprimerie Nationale and the Depot Legal.
