319. A Persian Tabriz Carpet, Early 20th Century (9 x 12 feet)

The central field woven with an elaborate floral medallion extended at two ends by a cartouche and palmette, inside a large cartouche ground covered in flowers and curling vines, inside a primary border of large palmettes, all in navy, mustard, light blue, and creme. Wool pile on cotton warp.
