325. A Persian Carpet, Mid 20th Century (52 x 82 inches)

The central field woven with a large diamond, centered by a smaller diamond and palmettes, the large diamond extended on two ends by a stylized palmette in a field of flowers and vines, inside a primary border if stylized flowers, palmettes, and snails, all in pale red, creme, brown, and light blue. Wool pile on cotton warp.

Condition: a few rows of weave missing from each end, otherwise very good.
