327. A Persian Heriz Wagireh (sampler) Carpet, 20th Century (45 x 75 inches)

The central field woven as a sampler, displaying a portion of a Heriz carpet, including part of the central medallion and other floral motifs, inside a stylized meandering border, and woven at one end with a sample of a wider palmette border, all in light salmon, navy, medium blue, creme, and brown. Wool pile on cotton warp.
