The central field woven with a crossed losenge design, also known as St. Andrew's cross, which is derived from dragon carpets. The losenges, or stylized leaves, stem from a central rosette, inside a simple meandering border, all in rich red, medium blue, pink, and navy on ivory ground. Wool pile on wool warp.
