354. A Chinese Peking Carpet, Early 20th Century (8 x 9.7 feet)

The central field woven with a simple circular medallion with a pagoda and cherry blossom tree, surrounded by six sparsely woven plants and flowers, the corners of the field woven with cherry blossom trees and birds, inside two flower and bird borders, all in tan, navy, light blue, and creme. Wool pile on cotton warp.
