This image was inspired by Auguste Renoir's 1887 portrait of "Julie Manet with a Cat." An impression of this print by Morisot without the plate cancellation marks is in the British Museum in London (reproduced in Margaret Shennan, Berthe Morisot. The First Lady of Impressionism, London, Sutton Publishing Ltd., 1996).

Condition: discoloration and soil in margins only, from matting.
