An outstanding copy of Titian's masterpiece (1.195 x 1.65 meters) in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence.

The head and the limbs are particularly well painted. The major departure from the original work is the exclusion of the two figures in the right background.

Condition: large repair left of head, relined, large tear lower right has not been repaired, evidence of earlier restorations.
