13. Giuseppe Miti Zanetti (Italian, 1859-1946)

Zanetti was a self-taught painter who was born in Venice. He specialized in Venetian views, but also painted architectural subjects and worked as an engraver. Zanetti regularly exhibited his work in Paris, and in 1889 received a bronze medal for a painting shown at the Exposition Universelle. His work is represented in the Museum of Modern Art in Florence, at the Musee D'Orsay in Paris, and at the Rudolfinium Museum, Prague. Zanetti died in Milan.
