309. A Rare Galle Cameo Vase, in the Persian Manner, circa 1884

The baluster form with amber cameo walls in a scrolling floral design and flanked with medallion shaped reserves, one with a Persian warrior on horseback and the other with a stylized Arabic character, enameled with gilt and iron red highlights, signed Galle and dated 1884 in cameo.
