The rectangular hinged lid centered by an inset mother of pearl plaque revealing a fitted interior, the lid with document storage and the body fitted with multiple compartments, an inlay medallion of brass and mother of pearl in the form of foliage issuing from an urn centering the fall front writing surface, the area fitted for inkwells and pen rest, the flip top velvet writing surface with embossed foliate border reveals fitted compartment.

The architectural hinged lid painted with a black ground and polychrome floral motif and inset with mother of pearl, the form opening to reveal a fitted compartment, the hinged double doors decorated similarly open to reveal a long drawer over six short drawers, and a centered niche, all above a pull out traveling desk, both sides decorated in a similar fashion, raised on four bracket feet.
