482. A J. Ridgway Covered Sugar Bowl and Stand, England, circa 1830

The stand, sugar and lid molded with roses, thistles and shamrocks, delicately painted and transfer decorated in polychrome enamels with fruit and floral sprays, blue bands, the details picked out in gilt, the bowl stamped in puce with lion and unicorn mark.
