By the 1950s, following the Second World War, American Scene painting fell sharply out of fashion, and with it, Molly Luce faded from public consciousness. Despite this shift, Luce continued to paint in a realistic vein although her focus shifted to a much brighter palette and a much more monumental portrayal of animals. ewolfs is pleased to offer this and other fine examples of Luce's mature style in the present auction.
