240. DeVries, Catherine Otis A Set of Thirteen Fashion Illustrations from the 1940s

Unbound. Broken binder says "Catherine." Mrs. DeVries was a longtime resident of Washington, D.C. She died at the age of 87 in 1993. Her sister, Luke Lietzke, of Mogadore, Ohio was (along with her husband Roland) a studio potter. DeVries' very attractive drawings include thirteen fashion illustrations; pen and ink with watercolor; nine with cloth swatches. Front and back designs. Written descriptions of designs with color choices and sizes on back of drawing.
