[The Imperial Sobor of Feodorovna in Tsarskoye Selo]

Written in Old Style Russian. Illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographs and color tipped-in plates of Russian sites. Bound in green and gold brocade, doubleres of apricot silk. On the title page is the government inventory identification which reads: Alexander Palace Museum, Children's Quarters. Classroom of the older Duchesses. 256/1. Possesses original silk bookmark.

A Lot of Russian Imperial Stationery and Carte de Visite of H. I. H. The Grand Duchess Marie

Five sheets of stationery and two envelopes, all bearing various engraved monograms and Romanov crests. The largest sheet bears an 1868 watermark "Joynson" and bears a small sticker "A. E. M. 26590a" (presumably a collection tag from the Minshall collection). The carte de visite of Grand Duchess Marie is printed on reverse: The London Stereoscopic and Photographic Company, 110 & 108 Regent Street, and 54 Cheapside. Photographers to H. R. H. The Prince of Wales and To H. R. H. The Duke of Edinburgh.

Album of Twelve Photographic Portraits of the Russian Imperial Family.

Photogravures in a beige folio, with silk ties. The cover of the folio bears an Imperial crown, titled in Russian "The Tsar's Family." Each photogravure is printed on card stock and bears a printed title in Russian identifying the sitters in the photograph. Three of the more intimate photogravures have a warning on the reverse side (in Russian] to the effect that the original photographs are the property of the hospital and that reproduction is prohibited. On the back of the portfolio, in ink, is the Government inventory number (#1399/55, list 105) from the Alexander Palace, where it was found in the quarters of the children of Nicholai II. [This information was typed on a sheet of paper bearing the Hammer Galleries Inc. letterhead, and inscribed "Mrs. India E. Minshall, November 18, 1935." This typed sheet is sold with the lot.]
