246. Two Paris Porcelain Sucrieres, France, Circa 1800.

Comprising an urn-form sucriere flanked by gilt scrolled mask handles surmounted by a lid with gilt acorn finial, together with a flared-form sucriere flanked by gilt mask handles, surmounted by a flared lid painted with a turquoise band enclosed by gilt trim and gilt ogee knop, both unmarked. Gilt; 7" h., turquoise; 8 1/2" h.

Comprising; a teacup, coffee cup and saucer, all painted with urns, portrait medallions, and swags in polychrome enamels, the blue rims gilt with stylized foliage, painted with blue crowned "D" mark on reverse. Saucer: 5 1/8" d., coffee: 2 1/2" h., teacup: 1 3/4" h.

Each scalloped form finely painted with a different landscape scene enclosed within a foliate frame, the rest of the ground painted with floral sprays and insects in polychrome enamels, the rims with underglaze blue bands gilt with sylized strapwork, both marked on the bottom with open crescent mark. Bowl: 1 3/4" h., saucer: 5 1/4" d.

Transfer decorated in brown with a stylized floral pattern enameled in puce, yellow, green and pink, the handles, feet, and finial picked out in underglaze blue; the lid, tureen, and stand stamped with Mason's patent ironstone china crown mark, painted 3690 in iron red. Tureen: 6 1/ 2" h, Stand: 7 1/2' l., 9 1/2" w.
