402. A German Cobalt Bottle, Late 18th Century

The baluster form applied with a strap handle, the neck and stopper applied with pewter mounts. 9 1/2" h.

403. An Engraved Armorial Carafe, 19th Century

The hand blown shouldered form with a cylindrical neck and pronounced lip, wheel engraved with an amorial depicting the double-headed eagle holding an orb and a sceptre, the reverse engraved with a crowned monogram encircled by a laurel wreath, the sides engraved with a stylized foliage. 9 3/4" h., 4 3/4" w., 3 1/4" d.

The clear shouldered form cut with stylized sheilds and losenge forms, surmounted by a flared stopper wheel etched with scrolling foliage, the decanter and stopper flashed in red. 14 1/4" h.
