140. A Capodimonte Porcelain Tankard, Late 19th Century

The cylindrical form molded in relief with a greusome lion hunting scene, faux bois mask handle, the hinged lid surmounted by a lion finial, finely painted in polychrome enamels, the details picked out in gilt, the bottom painted with an underglaze blue "N" surmounted by a five prong crown, impressed "501 N". 7" h.

Each paneled form painted with underglaze blue floral sprigs on the exterior and a band on the interior, the details picked out in gilt, the bottoms incised with "B", together with a Chinese export-style teabowl enameled with a draped and monogrammed shield, unmarked.
