Standing elephant, bronze with blackish- green patination, cire perdu, Susse Freres, Paris foundry. Roger Godchaux, born 1878. 9" h., 11" l.

Godchaux studied with Gerome and Adler, exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon, and was awarded a gold medal for sculpture in 1928.
