90. A Large Polychrome Glaze Carp Dish, circa 1880

The circular form on short foot boldly decorated with a pair of carp in aubergine glaze swimming through bright green kelp and blue waves, reserved on a lemon yellow ground decorated with a black stylized flower pattern, the obverse decorated with a band of peacock fetahers in black on a green ground, continuing to a lemon yellow band, the glazed foot with a green and black character seal. 17 1/2" d.
