The brass case surmounted by a hand painted porcelain dome with a pastoral motif over an elaborate dial with a floral wreath, Roman numerals within a gold cartouche and labeled "LYON", lower portion with porcelain plaque with a rural village scene with two young ladies over a molded base and raised on saber-like legs terminating in clover hoof feet, the works marked "Mayor, Lyon, Place St. Pierre". 13-3/4" h., 7-3/4" w., 5" d.
