301. A Spectacular Caduceus Brooch, England, Late 19th Century

Modeled as serpents in finely chased and engraved yellow gold and white gold, their eyes set with demantoid garnets, surmounted by outspread white gold wings set with rose cut diamonds, surmounted by a tapered jadite terminate, suspended with a 3mm natural pearl, backed in yellow gold, the "c" clasp attached with a pronged safety mechanism.
