A Lot of Children

Before Hakanson developed into a forensic photographer, he specialized in photographing children and family portraiture. The photographs in this lot include a great many children (including his own son, Buck), and sample "candid" shots that he used as sales tools to convince clients to have their children photographed. These shots bear captions written by Hakanson. For example: "Young Lady and Favorite Doll. Your own youngster, with favorite doll or plaything might make a picture you would enjoy more and more with the passing years." Twenty-eight approximately 8" x 10" black-and-white photographs.
