The flared bowl painted with lush floral sprays enclosed in gilt "C" scroll cartouches, on an underglaze blue ground, the ground gilt with stylized vines and grapes, the pot flanked by gilt heart-form handles, surmounted by a pierced lid, painted with an underglaze blue ground and gilt with stylized leaves. Unmarked. Bowl 6 3/4" d., 4 1/2" h.

158. A Fine Derby Topographical Vase Garniture with Named Views, England, circa 1820, Assembled

Comprising; a large center vase painted with a brookside landscape with Gothic ruins in the background, stamped Bloor Derby; together with two smaller vases, one painted with a cottage, the other with castle ruins, marked in iron red with "D" surmounted by batons and a crown and "Near Derby" and "Near Italy"; all three campagna vases with central scene enclosed within gilt octagonal frames, on an underglaze blue ground gilt with scrolling foliage, flanked by double masked handles, raised on square bases, marked in iron red respectively. Center 11 1/2" h., side 9 1/8" h.

Mounted as a table, the scalloped edge platter painted in polychrome enamels with lush floral sprays, the rim and details picked out in gilding, the reverse numbered "1407" in iron red. Raised on a conforming mahogany Sheraton style table with tapering legs.

Comprising; a pink lustre tea cup and saucer painted with rosebuds, a pink lustre tea cup and saucer painted with stylized flowers, the details picked out in blue and chartreuse; a pink lustre tea bowl and saucer painted with blue, aqua and yellow stylized flowers, numbered 1910 on the reverse and impressed with a starburst, a tea bowl and saucer enameled with bluebells and pink lustre foliage; and a Gaudy Welsh tea cup and saucer. Comprising; two platters and two circular butter dishes, each transfer decorated in green with a pastoral landscape enclosed within stylized swag and garland border, the rims picked out in green. The reverse stamped "Copeland Late Spode" and with registry mark in green, impressed with a circular mark. Butter dish 7 3/4" d., platter 19 1/4" l., 15 1/2" w., platter 15" l., 12 1/4" w.
