259. Simon Louis Boizot (French, 1743-1809)

"Iphigenia". Gilt bronze, probably late 18th century. The classically robed bust figure wearing a laurel wreath, her plaited hair emerging from beneath her headdress, raised on a marble columnar plinth and rouge square base. Bronze: 12" h., total: 19" h.

Provenance: Collection of J.A. Birch. Purchased at Wolf's, 1985.
