Note:As per Tony's notes: Although all medallions I've seen have Preault signature, he may have chosen to omit the signature in this occasion since it commemorates the supression of the H. Louterne journal La Lauterne by the Napolean III government in 1868 - Victor Noir worked for La Lauterne. It is possible that Preault also is the author of the reproduced anonymous medallions of Marat.
Condition: wear to patina.
