152. A Rokesley Studio Sterling, Amber and Enamel Pendant, Cleveland, Ohio

The oval amber set in a stylized sterling wheat motif frame, delicately enameled in shaded gold, green and blue, stamped on the reverse Rokesley sterling.
Note: The Rokesley Studio operated in Cleveland in the early part of the 20th century. This circle of silversmiths included Louis Rorimer, Ruth Smedley, Carolyn Hadlow Vincent and Mary Blakesley. It is representative of co-operative artists ventures that were popular during The Arts and Crafts Movement in America. 1 7/8" l., 7" 1" w.
