367. A Persian Kashan Carpet, late 19th - early 20th Century

The central field woven with a repeating pattern of urns filled with flower bouquets, the top of each bouquet issuing leafy branches that fill the spaces between the bouquets, all inside numerous borders, the primary border woven as a repitition of archways supported by columns, each archway over a flower bouquet, all in creme, mint, navy, red, and muted yellow. Wool pile on cotton warp. 50" x 82".
