The molded crestrail over an elaborately carved backrest decorated with intertwining vines and leaves, one side rail carved with fiddlehead forms, the other with a leafy vine, each side rail surmounted by carved leafy finials, over a square padded seat, raised on a similarly carved seatrail, with carved legs joined by stretchers. 37 1/2" h., 19" w.

The arched crest pierce carved with a c-scroll and foliate scroll over an arched glazed door with elaborate scroll decoration over the glass panel, the lower part of the door carved in relief with a trophy representing the sciences, the side panels glazed, raised on cabriole legs. 59" h., 19 1/2" w., 8" d.

The serpentine shaped mottled red and yellow marble top with brass banding over a conforming case with leather inset writing slide, over two drawers, the right side fitted with a single drawer, inlaid and stained with marquetry baskets of flowers on all sides, raised on cabriole legs ending in gilt bronze sabots. 28 3/4" h., 15", 12" top.

The upholstered back and loose seat cushion within a molded frame with scrolled padded arms, raised on reeded tapering legs carved with flowerheads. The French Toile du Jouy upholstery is from an 18th Century original and documents the famous demolition of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, for which Bastille Day was named. 38" h., 30" w.
