The upholstered back and loose seat cushion within a molded frame with scrolled padded arms, raised on reeded tapering legs carved with flowerheads. The French Toile du Jouy upholstery is from an 18th Century original and documents the famous demolition of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, for which Bastille Day was named.
