The illustrations, created in Irseal by Shraga Weil, consist of sixteen scenes in color, of which eight are double spreads and eight single-page, as well as twelve in-text line drawings. The book was designed in Jerusalem by Henri Friedlaender. The type is 14-point English Monotype Joanna with three points of leading; headings were set in Albertus. The text was composed and printed as the Westerham Press in Westerham, Kent, England. The paper is a rag shag, St. Paul's Cray, specially made for this edition by Hale of London. The shelfback is covered with a tangerine-color leather in levant grain, titled in gold, and the boards are covered with an imported natural linen, stamped with a drawing by Weil.

Contains nineteen full-color collages: six double-spreads, seven full-page, and six part-page-in-text. Designed by Roderick Stinehour with 12 pt. Goudy Modern for the text and Le Mercure for the title-page heading and chapter initials. Royal Octavo size consisiting of 532 pages and for the three-piece binding the shelfback is covered in natural-finish black buckram, and the sides in a decorative paper printed with a pattern painted by Mr. Powers. The title is stamped on the spine in gold leaf.

The boards are covered in tough cotton fabric bearing an authentic ear;y American all-over pattern; the title is stamped in gold on the leather label affixed to the shelfback.
