"Canopic Jar, Fallow Deer", 1994.
Constructed in two parts; the bottom in the form of a baluster shaped urn, the amber and reddish brown form decorated with ancient hunters and hybrid deer men wielding bows and arrows, chasing fallow deer stags across an ancient mystical landscape, the urn cover in the form of a fantastically modeled realistic head of a fallow deer stag with antlers, each with seven points. Head and base signed William Morris 1994. 42 1/2" h.

Provenance: Riley Hawk Gallery, Cleveland, Ohio.
