384. A Continental Silver and Jeweled Box, Late 18th Century

The hinged lid oval form decorated with stylized foliage, the lid bezel set with two miniature portraits of Hapsburgs enclosed within an embossed, crowned, laurel, swag, centering an applied mongram, surrounded by bezel set paste stones, the interior gilt, the bottom stamped with a stylized start #13. 1 1/4" H., 3 1/2" W., 2 1/2" D.

385. An English Enameled Snuff Box, English, 18th Century

Decorated in the style of Watteau, the rectangular form decorated on all sides with scenes of colorful young ladies and suitors in floral gardens, painted en grisaille, the borders and returns enameled in gilt, the underside decorated with a colorful floral spray, the interior cover with a gentleman serenading a lady, and a conch shell on the bottom interior.
