| 618. A French Carved and Gilt Wood Vitrine Table, Late 19th Century
The circular top with a beaded, foliate and guilbene carved border centering a bevelled glass opening to a lined interior with a pair of adjustable supports to hold the top open, over a bellflower and flowerhead carved frieze, raised on four caryatid supports joined by a stretcher centering a floral urn. 34" h, 31" d.
Condition: some shrinkage cracks to top forcing the molding out of round in two places, breaks and repairs to three stretchers, one with breaks on both ends. Some gilt losses overall have been touched up with gold paint, some losses to decorative carvings on frieze of top. 1,500/2,500 SOLD: $3,047.50
