620. A Louis XVIth Style Marquetry Commode, French, Early 20th Century

The Demi-lune form with mottled grey marble top over a conforming case with three long drawers, the top drawer fitted with a white metal relief plaque depicting butterfly chasing putti chased by water birds, with two lower drawers inlaid with a floral basket suspended by a ribbon with brass mounts, raised on short cabriole legs fitted with brass sabots.
