The squared form hand painted with a scene of an elegant couple in a garden, signed G. Maurice, reserved on a cobalt blue ground with gilded scroll and trellis decoration, the interior hand painted with a floral design on the cover and base, interlaced L's mark in underglaze blue. 8" x 7 1/2".
