Comprising; a salt-glazed "up-side down" head modeled with protruding ears, grotesque teeth, and saliva flowing down one side of his face applied with strap handle together with a jug modeled with a coiled serpent on top of a head, the face grimacing in fear, both incised "RHL." Upside down 6-3/4" h., snake 9-1/2" h.
The particular yellow salt glaze used on vessels in this lot was first used circa 1950.
